Possession, Oppression & Demonization Possession- The condition in which one or more evil spirits inhabit the body of a human being, taking complete control of it and expressing his (or their) personality through that body. Oppression- Mild to severe harassment by evil spirits resulting from the opening of some door to Satan's influence. Demonization- In demonization the Holy Spirit of God isn't displaced. The demon doesn't take control of the person as in possession but rather assumes a position of extreme influence and inordinate power over the person's decisions and actions.
